Tridactyl/TC crossover bug triggering non-requested blank tab creation

I have both Tridactyl-beta and Temporary Containers installed in a fresh new profile with no other configuration changes than "Isolation>Global>Target Domain" set to "Different from Tab & Subdomains".

Actual behavior

When opening an URL in a new tab with Tridactyl :tabopen domain.tld command, a blank tab is first opened, then a second tab loading the URL is opened next to the first one.

Expected behavior

The :tabopen domain.tld command should open a single new tab loading the URL. When setting "Isolation>Global>Target Domain" to "Never" or when disabling TC, that is the observed and expected behavior.

I don't know if this bug finds its origin in Tridactyl or TC. That's why I also reported it to @glacambre from the Tridactyl team on their IRC channel.

Could you check how TC and Tridactyl interact to produce this behavior, from your TC point of view ? @glacambre might have an idea of what's going on and could provide information about Tridactyl's internal architecture to help.
