XWayland in 18.04?
Is there a way to force use of XWayland? The stock config of 18.04 only allows integer scalling. 2x is WAY to big on these screens. (I use 1.4 in 17.10)
Thanks!
If you're using Gnome, you can enable Wayland in /etc/gdm3/custom.conf.
From a default 18.04 Ubuntu Respin install, this will result in a indefinant wait for something the never starts. I can't get a terminal or anything to start. Forgot to pull logs when I LiveCD'ed to re-edit the file back. Could boot again after.
I then changed login manager to LightDM. When I select wayland there, I get the same issue. When I install 17.10 and then do the Dist-upgrade, I can use wayland without problems.
