Ability to Filter on Bigboard View, by User - Not an Issue - Functionality
Hello Kanboard Team,
Great job on the Bigboard extension. Just finished installing it and looks really good, however I would like to know if there is the possibility to filter that bigboard by User.
It would be very beneficial and efficient to have that view. As you can see on the png I attached the selected filter would result only in showing the Tasks assigned to "EN" , Elie Nassif Any comments, or is that functionality available and I have missed it. Much Appreciate it
Currently it is not possible. But i trink that is a good idea and i will see if I can implement this.
Great, that would complete the functionality of the Bigboard as a wholesome view of Projects and Tasks. If further drilling down is needed then the user must access a specific project and filter on it !! I hope you can keep me posted about the development of this feature.
Keep up the Good work !!!
Hello Again Stinnux,
I have yet another feature that could be added on the Bigboard that would render it complete. Currently our department work is organised under three entities : 1 . Assistance 2. Operation 3. Project
In Kanboard I am creating 3 Swimlanes for every project I create to reference the above entities. So If I have 4 projects, each having its own swimlanes, How can I check on a global view on all projects what are the tasks of the Assistance entity for example ?. The only way I can think of is the filter option on Bigboard. What do you think ? I presume having the ability to filter on Bigboard will make it more robust and would differentiate kanboard from other tools on the market.
Hi,
i have implemented something and need you to test it. The plugin is attached.
I still need to decide if i hide projects that have no visible tasks. What is your opinion on that?
Any Feedback is welcome.
Greetings Thomas
Hi Thomas,
I Will gladly do that.
So Should I only unzip the content of the file under the folder Bigboard ? Is there something else I should do to install the plug-in.
Elie
Just unzip in the plugins directory
Hello,
Ok I successfully installed the plug-in, It works fine. I tested using different filters :
status:open assignee:"XXX" swimlane:"XXX" column:"XXX" ... everything works fine. I think its better if you hide the projects with no visible Tasks, since it would be easier to navigate directly to the results. How about personalized filters, Should the user have the ability to store the filter as well ?
Thanks for testing.
I think i will add a switch for hiding the empty projects.
Customized Filters are currently saved within the projects. I will see if i can add them to the search bar.
great job. Thank you for this plugin!! I tested it. No problem I agreee, it would be great to only display projects having tasks to display
Have a nice day Gérald
