Algorithm is affected by compression of image

Hello, I am facing troubles detecting faces with certain images. Sometimes, the detection algorithm doesnt work on certain images but it works on its compressed/expanded forms. For example, i tried the detection algorithm on a Tom Holland face, the algorithm didnt detect any face, however i sent the same image to a colleague on slack messenger and the algorithm detects the face(the image is slightly compressed).
