Regression in standard initialization script in 2.2.0 => please make a 2.2.1

I have the problem described in the resolved and closed issue #227 but the solution (PR #234) was merged in the version 2.4. As the lastest version with a PHP 5.6 compatibility is the 2.2.0, should you create a new 2.2.1 tag with this patch ?
