Message Expiration Issue
Hey friends, a noob here but I am searching the documentation to see if there is a way to stop the chat from limiting the amount of chats being shown. I get a lot of messages and donos in my stream and it only seems to show like the last 25-50 messages. Is there a way (or a work-around) to retain all the dono history chats in my chat server so that they don't disappear? I need to retain like 200 superchats for the duration of a 5 hour live stream.
Sorry I am just a dumb noob that doesn't understand how to use the software. I have the latest version of the standalone windows software and using the server for a custom OBS dock.
&limit=500 if using the dock link, to see the last 500 messages.
You can also use the events.html page instead of the dock page, as its for specifically donation / events only, and it also has a way to extend how many donations you see on screen. Default is like 100 there.
There is also a database viewer, which lets you see the last 30 days of messages - the link to this is in the menu also.
If you have preferences on how I might be able to improve things though, just let me know
Thanks I will give this a try. I like it for the comment aggregation but if I could use it for showing superchats, that would solve a lot of problems.
If I use &showonlydonos in conjunction with &limit=500 for my superchat dock, am I correct in assuming that it would retain the last 500 superchats? Or would it retain the last 500 chats and just filter out the supers? If it's the latter then I would still have vanishing superchats.
Also, I love the way your system marks the chats once they've been show on screen so you can track which ones were already displayed! If I can get this working the way I need it, I have other friends that will use it too. We're all looking for this solution right now.
