Twitch Chat Not Updating

I'm having this weird issue where the messages in my Twitch chat will take multiple minutes to show up in my social stream chat. At first I thought maybe it was a browser issue, and chrome wasn't refreshing inactive tabs, but I don't experience the issue with YouTube or Facebook chat. Do you have any idea how I could fix this? Is it possible the issue is caused by the FrankerFaceZ extension? (i couldn't find anything in it's settings regarding this issue) For context, I also have the 7TV emotes & BetterTTV emotes addons installed in my FrankerFaceZ extension.

Sometimes the browser will pause inactive tabs.

See if it works better if you keep the pop up window open, and visible. Minimizing it or hiding the pop up window can sometimes cause problems, depending on your browser's settings.

Disabling memory saver for example might help: chrome://settings/performance or maybe chrome://flags/#calculate-native-win-occlusion

Twitch itself seems to pause the chat if it detects the chat isn't visible, and I haven't found a way to stop it from doing that yet, and that might also be causing the issue.

A future version of socialstream that is downloadable might solve these issues for good though
