Backing up Win10 EFI?

If I wanna backup a Win10 installation that was installed in EFI mode, does it matter whether I'll boot clonezilla in "normal" mode (legacy mode)? Or do I have to boot clonezilla in EFI mode as well, so that restoring from backup would work?

In my experience it only matters at restore time.

If you meant you want to backup a whole disk, including boot entry in the uFFI BIOS, you have to boot Clonezilla live in EFI mode. Otherwise there will have an issue to detect that.
