While I don't have any plans to tackle this myself I am more than happy to accept pull requests.

Seems fine to me. I'm ok with it if you can update the travis config to include Django 1.10 and remove Django 1.6 and 1.7.

I would be open to removing the dependency and even the need for a password field. Accepting pull requests.
