Hangs on Searching for Sonos devices on network... Sierra 10.12.4, Sonos 7.2

Open jeremiahwright opened this issue 7 years ago • 4 comments

Using Sierra 10.12.4, installed using the same method as everyone else. My sonos came with the 7.2 firmware. I have read this currently interferes with the present version of airsonos. I can confirm Sonoair also doesn't work for me (latest version 1b6.1)

Does anybody else have this problem? Would appreciate your feedback. Thanks

for the record when I use airsonos --diagnostics it finds the sonos device no problem

no luck with your solution on my end but might work with El Capitan (I'm on Sierra)

Hi likewise, i am using Sierra 10.12.4 with node v0.10.28. I've done all the suggestions outlined in #342. I still get the problem with hanging... any other ideas lfilho?

Sorry people, I'm still on El Capitain so I have no way to test on Sierra... I don't know what changed in Sierra that could be causing the issue... Maybe the airplay api changed under the hood of Sierra... But then again, there are people who were able to run airsonos on Sierra, so I really have no clue :-/

Doesn't hurt to make some smoke tests:

  • Check node & airsonos versions
  • Confirm the airsonos running is indeed out of that node version (maybe you have nvm or n installed are you're not using the correct node version at the time, although it's installed)
  • Confirm you applied the patches in the correct locations (again, maybe you have more than one node version installed and hence more than one node_modules folder in your system)...

Good luck
