Lag in audio
First - very nice that you did this. It's great to be able to hub all speakers off airplay as opposed to introducing yet another application.
The only issue I see is the lag in audio. The audio track played to the Apple TV is a few seconds ahead of the Sonos device. When rooms are close by this presents a listening challenge - analogous to an echo almost.
Any activity to reduce the delay?
Should you be correct, RealJesusDev, then this is your chance to show what you can do. Otherwise, shut up.
@stef-germany I reported him, the account has been deleted.
I'm having the same problem, rdavid57. Maybe there is a software that allows you to introduce a lag to even out the playback? Has anyone solved this?
I have the same issue. There is like 3 seconds delay between image in my projector and then the sound in Sonos Play 3 system for any movie. Anyone has a workaround??
Synchronisation seems to be the most wanted feature and at the same time difficult to implement. I will pay EUR 300 to the person who finds a solution and makes it available to everybody here at github. Anybody else willing to contribute money to this project?
I will cooperate with additional $100 USD if it's a quality solution for this issue.
Kind regards!
Nohem?

This might be related to the mp3 transcoding? IIRC; there has been someone working on directly passing through the audio stream without the transcoding in between; this would also free up some cpu cycles on a pi... but I lost track about the finding related to this...
