How to terminate a hanging RTU call

Hi

I wrote a program in which it uses the RTU connection. If I close the program during RTU connection and restart it, I can no longer establish a connection or end the old one. The only option is to plug in and disconnect the USB plug. Is it possible to terminate such a connection somehow on windows?

Could you explain what do you mean by close and restart? What libmodbus function calls do you use?
