Current maintenance for VCV Rack 2?

Just a brief inquiry about maintenance wrt Rack 2... I tried to use these modules in the classroom yesterday. Some students could install. Some, particularly in Windows, got either "module not found" or Rack crashed.

A specific crash I can recall was: right-clicking to add a new object, kaboom. After moving the stellare-link folder out of plugins\, then the crash stopped.

It looks like the kind of thing where Rack might have changed something that the vcv-link code base doesn't like...? Just guessing.
