@leighmcculloch, thanks for reporting this! Does this happen for you more often than on the initial load (or when switching the theme for the first time)? There are some things we could do, but they would be custom, and I'm not sure if it's worth fixing it if this happens only on initial load (at least it does for me). It's not the best experience, but it happens when the image for the selected theme loads (after that, it should be cached in the browser, and switching should be unnoticeable).

It happens on first load, or refresh. Defer to you for whether it should be fixed or not.

Another one: given all the resources that are loaded, css may take a while to be ready to render, so you end up seeing a white flash when trying to load the lab in dark mode:
