Option to save at a given physical time, rather than per timestep

It would be useful to have some option that allows the user to specify the cadence at which output data is written in physical (code) units, rather than the number of timesteps. For a given physical problem, you may desire a fixed time-sampling of statistics, which is not currently acheivable when one saves every number of timesteps.
