Stopped working after resume from suspend until device is unplugged & re-plugged

Running Ubuntu 20.04 and always use the PowerMate to suspend the PC but recently it has stopped responding after resuming from suspend - unless I re-plug in the USB device.

Any ideas why this might occur?
