encrypted backups?

mgob looks like a great backup solution for my mongodb clusters residing inside kubernetes. I have a requirement to encrypt the datafile before uploading to s3 and I'm wondering how I can do that.

I could configure MGOB to store the data to the PV (not upload to s3) then I could modify the deployment to use a sidecar pod to perform the encryption and s3 upload. While this is possible, it would force me to find my own method of alerting on failure.

Is it possible to inject a command after the mongodump and before the minio copy command?
