Zotero note formatting not correctly imported, Comments not imported

Open seawee1 opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Hi,

first of all: Thank you so much for this, bibnotes is awesome! Two issues I encounter when I use your Addon is that

  1. highlight comments are not imported, i.e. the ## Comments section is empty and
  2. the notes formatting, i.e. headings, boldness, whatever, are not imported. All is just plaintext. I use the standard configuration for formatting import.

@seawee1 could you please extract the json file from one Zotero source that has these problems and share it with me? to upload it here you will need to rename the file extension from json to txt

I have similar issues, so I’ll provide an example here: bibnotes_bug.txt

Besides these errors, custom text before all highlights is not working in the latest version (but worked previously). I use - before all highlights so that this extension works with my Logseq graph, but now the - does not appear in the imported highlights

Same issue here. Amazing plugin otherwise thank you! I tried installing older versions & found:

0.9.159:

  • comments do get imported
  • custom text before & after highlights & comments works 0 9 159 result

0.9.200, .206, .208

  • comments don't get imported
  • custom text before & after highlights works (but custom text for comments also missing) 0 9 200, 206, 208 result

0.9.209

  • neither of them work 0 9 209 result

Did also find that (at least in 0.9.159), "Text dividing the highlight and the related comment" wasn't printing anything.
