leaflet-search with Leaflet.SvgShapeMarkers

Thank you for the plugin. Since Leaflet.SvgShapeMarkers https://github.com/rowanwins/Leaflet.SvgShapeMarkers is extended from Path instead from Marker. It will have TypeError: layer.getBounds is not a function during searching. Can anyone know how to solve it please? Thank you.
