If you shipped the game with a "press here to locate your Dune II files" button and used this lib, you could in theory have it on Steam :D

well. I don't want to read all PAK files or anything. As we use our own data files (with hand catered graphics). However, I do think we need to add checks to make sure you own a copy of Dune 2.

Also: we can use the audio files from them. That would be awesome, especially with some MT32 emulator of some sort. I know someone who likes to fiddle around with such things...

@sardaukar do you really think this can be on Steam if there would be a check for legitimate Dune 2 files? Not sure how Dune Legacy does/did this.

It could be like OpenTTD where you can have "graphics packs" and you distribute the game separate from the gfx, thereby skirting any potential issues (maybe)
