Traceroute on tablets no longer points to node

Open ssawchenko opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

Awhile ago we decided to pull out to view the entire globe when running a traceview. For phones this works well, however, on tablets the node popup has an "arrow" that points to the selected node. When we zoom out this no longer points to the node.

We have a few options:

  1. Do not zoom out on tablets
  2. Hide the arrow when we zoom out

@apike @rachteo Thoughts?

Example: trace_arrow

Xcode 9 apparently viciously hates running at a reasonable speed, so ignore the poorly-photoshopped nature of this mock, but could we perhaps hide the arrow and have a split-screen style layout for the traceroute info?

On the phone we slide the map "up" to sit overtop of the traceroute, I imagine moving the map to the left would be fairly straightforward to do as well.

This seems reasonable to me.
