Mate Power Manager, while XFCE4 already installed

Is this a problem? I'm using the ready i3 minimal package like always, and it has xfce4 power manager installed, and I've never tinkered with it. Is it okay to install this required mate power manager?

I hope this project is still somewhat alive; I see there has not been many issues lately, but I'm leaving this here anyway, in case some kind soul could help me get this installed without breaking everything.
