Rendered images are not refreshing

Have a (bad? simple?) sample machine that I'm using for a demo. After generating the image, I would expect it's TTL to be 15 minutes. However, it does not appear to have updated. What is the TTL for cached images?

After ~8 hours the image had updated. I don't know when, because I slept in that time. I think maybe this task should be titled "Update README with image TTL".

An interesting sidenote is that it looks like GitHub downloads the image at creation time, so images linked in tickets won't ever update.
