Change Date fieldtype's date settings in the CP to allow for more than just MM DD YYYY

I think it would be useful to have the ability to change the date's formatting in the CP.

I know we can control the output of the date on the frontend, but this is aimed specifically at a content editor improvement. Allowing for a content editor to only choose years, or just month and years, would be nice.

Use cases

• When there's an unknown month or year, like something in ancient history (like a job from 10 years ago)
