[6.x] UX of the new Collections Overview: How to edit an entry from there

The new collections overview is great, but it raised a question for me. Many clients will likely navigate to this site. Can they figure out how to edit any entry if it’s not listed in the "Newest 5"?

A prominent "Create Entry” button and green dots catch the user’s attention.

However, the links to the full collection are quite subtle: the collection list in the sidebar may be overlooked, as other elements draw the client’s eye. The link in the collection title on the card is also discreet. The third option—switching to list view—requires clicking through two pages. And from my experience, clients often overlook the fourth option via the three dots menu.

There are already several options, but should there be a more obvious way to access any entry? Some possibilities:

  • Include the entry count (e.g., "(8 entries)") on the right side of the title as part of the link → this would make the link bigger and a bit more noticeable when hovering around.
  • Allow scrolling through the list → doesn’t add new UI elements, but might be conceptually a bit complex.
  • Add prev/next buttons on the bottom line. → subtle, but the list is vertical and the buttons show horizontal direction

What do you think? Consider this from the perspective of a client who updates their site only every six months…
