A pull request that adds a variable controlling how the headers are parsed would be fine. Common headers should probably still remain as keywords.

I would rather merge a proper solution.

When does this happen? Why does it need to be a variable if -1 is wrong? How do you figure out the right value?

That sounds like a bug in emacs. I can't achieve that even when scrolling with a mouse.

I'm not sure this patch can be applied without breaking some existing workflow. So, I guess you can do `(setf (session *request*) nil)` yourself.
