[Feature] Drag and drop allocation of performer and scene covers or automatic detection

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. It can take many minutes to manually add cover thumbnails to tens or hundreds of videos.

Describe the solution you'd like

  1. Scene videos are located in Folder 1, while covers for scenes would be stored in the same folder in a sub-folder with a specific name (e.g. Covers). If an image or animated file (e.g. .jpg, .png, .webp, .gif) is detected with the same exact name in this sub-folder as a video in the upper directory, Stashapp would detect this and automatically add this file as a cover for each specific scene. This could potentially be a checkbox setting that is by default opt-in or opt-out, with another option to automatically exclude these cover images from being added to the gallery/images pages.

Edited to remove the following solution due to a workaround provided by DogmaDragon below: 2. Currently the process to add a performer or scene cover involves 3 clicks and more than 5-10 seconds each: Edit > Set Image > "From file" or "From URL" > Wait for the selection window to appear (2-3s) > Navigate to file > Open

  • Current workaround provided by DogmaDragon below says "You can use Ctrl+V keyboard shortcut to paste scene cover or performer image."
