[Feature] Link scenes to other related scenes or galleries

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Many sites like to split up content into multiple scenes that are all related in some way, such as part of the same series, photoshoot, or even behind the scenes content. Some way to connect these scenes so that they can be viewed together.

The movies section could function as this, but I see that as a section for DVD content.

Describe the solution you'd like Much like adding a Link to stashbox, there could be a list for adding a connection to another stash scene or gallery for content that might be related to that scene. Each connection could be given a type to describe how it relates to the scene. E.g. Sequel, Prequel, BTS content. Etc.

For connections that have an order, instead of Sequel, Prequel. A variable for adding the position in that order could be used.

Describe alternatives you've considered Instead of having a List section for the Sequel and Prequel scenes. A Preceded by and Succeded By Section can be added, much like how the Tags contain a Parent and Sub-tags section.

Additional context Movies could also include these connections to link between movies in the same series. Or a separate section could be made to collect Series together.

Both Gamma and Bang.com treat this relationship the same as a movie. I think using the movies to handle this relationship is fine. Doing this would also reduce friction if StashDB ever adds support for movies since studios will already have the data in that format.

I guess, but I still don't think that movies is the right description for some types of scenes.

For example, Tessa Fowlers content has multiple scenes which are all connected but I don't think of them as movies.

Modern adult movies are usually just a collection of related or sometimes even unrelated scenes. So the scenes you described fit that bill. That's just my thought on the topic.

Sure, But the current Movie information in stash is really setup for DVDs. It has front page, Back page,

And the example I send doesn't really have URLs or Descriptions.

Perhaps an update to the Movies section would be more appropriate.

Gamma just adds a cropped image from the scene as the front and back cover image. ~~For the description, they provide the movie title.~~ Unrelated fields don't have to be provided if you feel they are irrelevant.

Ii it really worth considering these mediocre mainstream as the only one thing that matters? Or maybe real movies already wiped out from existence? I don't think so.

So series of scenes and movies would be really useful! See all series-related issues: #605 #723 #1352 #1402 #2821 #728

Also, in JAV series of movies is a quite significant thing. See RFC issue for better JAV support: #3065

My perspective is simply that having another page that is functionally similar to the current movies page seems redundant. I have nothing against the series concept. I agree that it would be nice to be able to establish movies as a series. This functionality may be possible without another page. Ideally, if another page were created, there would be a clear distinction between that page and the existing ones.

Practically speaking, a page with a list of all series is not really redundant, since movies and series are different concepts, but is not as useful, since different series from different studios may have similar or even identical titles. I would like to see a list of related series on the Studio and Performer pages.

Not actual screenshot, just quick edit in browser

If a series can be composed of movies, scenes, galleries, or all of the above, I think the distinction would be clear enough. A more generic name, such as Collections, would probably serve that page better if a user wanted to group unrelated content.

I agree with Collections name. Indeed, they could be either creator-defined and user-defined as well.
