[Feature] Series Construct

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Sometimes there are multiple videos in a "serie". "Movies" is what I'm using atm. However, there are no thumbnails I can use as the series itself isn't anything formal other than a name tag (from the studio that made it).

Describe the solution you'd like I'm not sure. If we do use "Movies" as "Series" instead, then it'd be nice if it can pull through the scenes images as the thumbnail display? Also, it'd be nice to be able to filter the rating of a movie based on its scenes rating (average / max / min scene rating).

Movies has been pretty useless to me as more often than not, 1 scene = 1 movie. The time when there are multiple scenes in 1 movie is extremely rare. Even if it does, I'd just remux the videos into one anyway as that's the exception rather than the norm. Obviously, I'm only speaking for myself, and I have no idea if it's an issue if we double "Movies" as "Series".

I think this problem might have to be flushed out a bit more with other people's use cases / inputs.

Describe alternatives you've considered The concept of collection is currently on the roadmap. Perhaps we can expand on that instead?

Additional context Maybe this is more of a thing for japanese productions? Japanese stuff have: Studio -> many series 1 Serie -> many videos (which is scenes for me, otherwise I'm going to have 1 movie linked to 1 scene 99% of the time).

The idea of Movie being an example of "Groups" has been discussed lately on Discord. Series is another good Group example, as is "Releases" (ie scene is released by Studio X, then later is released by Studio on a different date, maybe a different watermark)

Really all of these are variations of the same idea... And Movie needs a revamp anyway, so maybe the true stash/stashbox object is a Group, and depending on how you flesh it out, it's a Movie (collection of scenes, in order), a Series (collection of scenes, in order), a Release history (collection of scene info, descriptive of one scene over time). You could even allow Groups to contain groups, and nest... So you could have alternative scenes in a Movie. That actually does happen occasionally.

Another consideration with any "group" construct would be nesting movies in the opposite direction by linking a series of movies together. Meaning, we could collect DVD Title Volumes 1–42 or whatever into a group as well.

So I'd say the functionality would be to group with an order, allow both Scene and other Groups to be members, and two items at the same order position would be consider equivalent... Then each component would have a date... So the "multiple release" of a scene would allow seeing which was first, but also compare one to another...

This would also allow for scenes to be used in multiple Movies, in the case of compilation DVDs/etc or even just old comp movies.

While a group might have an image (aka poster or DVD cover, front and back), and some other info.... I'd like to see the scene get Director as well, and maybe other movie only fields (duration is a property of scene but not a field)

If "Groups" can have a mix of Scenes and other groups, I think that'll cover most use cases. Maybe Galleries/Photos too one day, for stash?
