Airplay Non-Functional When Credentials is Enabled on Server
Describe the bug Airplay is not functional when credentials is enabled on server.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- New Server
- Airplay Initially Works
- Enable Credentials
- No More Airplay
Can you re-try after generating authentication key? (Next to the password settings)
Just cleared and regenerated the Authentication key and still had the same issue.
I'm also having issues with Airplay. I currently have credentials setup on my server.
Same issue. Credentials enabled kills AirPlay. API key generation makes no impact.
Same issue as the others. Any hope we’ll get this fixed soon?
I had credentials enabled (also over HTTPS) and no API key, Airplay would connect, but not play the video. I assume because Airplay does not support the authentication credentials stored in the browser cookie.
I created an API key, and then Airplay works.
After creating an API key I could see the URL to stream a video now included it as part of the query params. So I'm assuming this gets passed to Airplay and now it's allowed to play the video because the API key is included in Airplay's request.

This workaround did not work for me.
Anyone thinking of picking this one up?
FWIW, this is no longer an issue for me even with credentials enabled. Not sure what changed.
it works with credentials now but not with ssl.
