cl.exe issues when try indexing

I have been trying to run the "intro" notebook and stuck at an infinite loop at the indexing steps. It seems it has a hard time checking "cl" version. Additionally, for a window machine gcc and gxx has to be excluded from environment.

Would you mind suggesting a version of Visual Studios, C++ Compiler, Anaconda and Python that work for you?
