Odd issues with the GBoard Android keyboard

I've encountered two very frustrating issues that seem to be specific to the GBoard Android keyboard, which is the default keyboard on Google Pixel devices.
- The editor can get into a state where dragging left on the backspace button to delete multiple words doesn't work
- The editor can get into a state where the enter key doesn't work
Sometimes it seems like the second issue can be triggered by using the backspace drag feature, but I'm not sure about that.
I cannot reproduce these issues when I switch to the OpenBoard keyboard. However, I've also never seen any other app behave this way with GBoard.

Hi @NoahAndrews, thank you for taking the time to report both keyboard-related issues and for providing those screencasts. We've added this to our todo list and I'll update this thread once a fix has been made available to test.
