Offline file support in Android app

I've been discussed with @effieeee about the need for offline file access in the Android app. I use Standard Notes extensively for planning hikes and trips, including many file attachments in my notes. These hikes and trips often have limited internet access or none at all, so it's quite problematic to not be able to access my attached files offline. This can even present safety issues when relying on those files for navigation, medical information, etc.

I can think of a few different ways to implement this in the app in terms of user experience, but I'm not sure which best aligns to Standard Notes design principles. I just need some way to access the attached files when I'm offline.

Also note that the Standard Notes Plans page does advertise 'Offline file access' for the Professional plan, which is very misleading given this limitation at least for the Android app.

I would like to second this request. I use the IOS version of Standard Notes and have the same problem. The 'Offline File access" blurb on the website is what led me to getting the Professional plan in the first place, but I am left having to use a different app for files and notes with linked files. Offline works great on the desktop app, it should work on the phone as well.

Even living in a large urban city I still come across places where internet access is limited or non-existent.

Totally agree. I usually save trip related documents to notes and need to access them abroad. Please add the opportunity to have a local copy on a mobile device, at least read only if there are some sync issues at the moment
