I just tried to download and install on a Mac.

After opening the installer, moving the app into the apps folder, and then clicking to open the app, it shows me this:

There is more to the error message, but it's so long i can't screencap all of it. This happens every time I try to open it. I also tried redownloading and installing. My macOS is 14.4.1

Experiencing the same issue here. Using a 2024 M3 MacBook Air, as soon as I launch the app the error appears. The app itself does actually launch but you can't do anything other than quit. Definitely something wrong with the current build of the app for Apple Silicon.

Got this from support: "We'd like to provide an update on this issue. Our developer has confirmed that the issue is linked to the recent update in the Electron version used on the app. While our developer has yet to determine the root cause of the issue in the Electron update, they have released an update which reverts to the previous version of Electron while they investigate this further. The update with the reverted Electron version can be downloaded from this link: https://github.com/standardnotes/app/releases/download/%40standardnotes%2Fdesktop%403.195.22/standard-notes-3.195.22-mac-arm64.dmg. We'd like to apologize for the inconvenience, and we'll continue to update the affected users on this."

That new download didn't make a difference for me. Although I'm on an Intel Mac, I changed the download link from arm64 to x64 but it still had the Javascript error

If you're using arm64, use 3.195.13 release to install: https://github.com/standardnotes/app/releases/download/%40standardnotes%2Fdesktop%403.195.13/standard-notes-3.195.13-mac-arm64.dmg

For some strange reason, I ran into the same issue on Macbook Pro M1. The app was working fine yesterday. Mac was in sleep mode for a few hours and then started throwing this error. rwc's link for version 3.195.13 worked. Thanks!
