Homeserver on macOS can't find sqlite

Describe the bug on macOS the homeserver doesn't work anymore with sqlite. Neither on macOS Sonoma 14.7.2, nor macOS Sequoia 15.2 can I enable it. It says:

Offline SQLite package has not been found installed. Try to install it: npm install sqlite3 --save

but sqlite3 is present in macOS..

Both Macs are ARM Based (M2 and M3).
