Cmd+H shortcut interferes with macOS Hide shortcut

Open 12people opened this issue 4 years ago β€’ 5 comments

The standard system shortcut for hiding a window on macOS is Cmd+H. It's a system-level shortcut and works in every single app on macOS β€” unless the app overrides that shortcut.

Unfortunately, this is the case with Standard Notes, which overrides this shortcut to create a level 1 heading. This makes using Standard Notes frustrating for me, as whenever I'd like to hide its window (which I do quite often in general), I create an unwanted heading instead.

Please change the shortcut to one that doesn't interfere with a system-level shortcut. For example, Cmd+Option+1, like in Google Docs (and Cmd+Option+2 could be used for level 2 headings).
