lightroom-google-photo-plugin "Can't update this collection." error

I am getting the following error after creating a new collection and attempting to publish it (Lightroom 6.12 on Mac OS X).

After some more testing, this is not the case. I can get it to publish once, but I get the error above if I try to re-publish modified photos, at the very least. There may be other things that cause it that I haven't figured out yet. But it is definitely a deal-breaker issue at the moment.

The logs don't seem to have any more information in them than the error message.

Same same. Happens for me on first publish :( An internal error has occurred: Error Domain=NSXMLParserErrorDomain Code=4 "Line 1: Document is empty " UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Line 1: Document is empty }
