PPC plot for categorical outcomes

Open nsiccha opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

@n-kall asked me to create an issue concerning the default PPC plot for categorical outcomes, which is less than ideal.

Maybe it would be nice to be able to generate plots such as the below? The plot below is based on a categorical regression model fit to the Palmers penguins dataset. Instead of showing kdeplots or histograms for the outcomes based on the posterior draws, it shows kdeplots of specific covariates, grouped according to the outcome data/predictions, i.e. in the below plot each facet represents one covariate, while each color represents one species of penguins.

Sorry for the slow reply. I like these plots! Would you (or anyone else) be interested in submitting a pull request for this?

I never use bayesplot, ggplot or even R, but I can have a look some time in Feb or March. Unless Noa wants to implement it :)
