GRANT MISSION, IMPACT, RISKS & REFERENCE

Grant Mission:         Private transaction is very hard to use and mostly used by criminals, as survey of Tornado Cash 2022. As we know, privacy adoption is very much like Bitcoin adoption in early days and it would be hard to use: users often have to use external chains like Zcash, Monero. Especially, during these transaction, no privacy is ensured, including token swaps.

Therefore, Sisu would like to make it simple by creating universal private transactions. It helps users easy to use by geting private transactions without leaving their chain.Transactions could be secured while keeping the tx fee cheap and while deleting all the trace of transaction source, by Threshold Signature Scheme and Zero Knowledge Proof.

Benefits to Stacks:

  1. Increase the spread of Stacks: designed to improve the ease of use and security of cross-chain transactions, as well as promote privacy and decentralized transactions more generally, so increase the overall number of users and transactions taking place on the Stacks network.

  2. Increase decentralize of Stacks: by facilitating cross-chain transactions between different blockchains, allow users to leverage assets across blockchains and unlock new levels of capital efficiency.

  3. Increase network adoption

Grant Impact:               Metrics:

  • Number of users to use Sisu to swap token from any chain to Stacks
  • Transaction volume cross chain
  • Volume of private transaction on Stacks using Sisu

Success will look like:

  • Bring 10,000 users to Stacks from all other blockchains
  • Total transaction volumes cross $25M
  • Total private transaction volume cross $5M

Grant Risks:                          N/a

GRANT ROADMAP & DELIVERABLES

FINAL DELIVERABLE

Deliverable:                   We have completed the Testnet Phase 1 with tokens swap on 5 different chains with test tokens. Next, we will launch Sisu on 10-15 chains with limited real token swaps. And, we will add private transaction for Sisu

Hi @BillyPhamSisu -

We have identified the projects we will be awarding grants as part of Stacks Foundation Grants Program Cohort 18. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your project was not among those selected.

This is no way means that we do not see the value of the work you proposed. We're lucky to have so many talented independent researchers, developers, and community leaders like yourself building on Stacks. Unfortunately, we receive many more proposals than we can actually fund with our limited means, so competition is extremely tough. While we generally support innovation in all forms, we tend to prioritize projects that have the potential to advance and differentiate the broader ecosystem from other blockchains, as well as projects that meet critical needs of the community at the time. These constraints mean that in several instances, several excellent projects may not make it into a cohort.

We very much appreciate the time and effort you've put into this process and encourage you to continue watching this repo and consider submitting a new application if and when you feel your project better aligns with the current priorities of the Grants Program.

If you should have any questions, please let us know in the comment section below.

Best, Will Stacks Foundation Grants Program Manager
