GRANT MISSION, IMPACT, RISKS & REFERENCE
Grant Mission: With the growing interest in grass root adoption of blockchain technology especially in sub-saharan Africa, we have decided to focuse our blockchain training in Defi development as this seems to be the interest for most trainees we have had in the past. This grant will help us train more developers who can build grass root solutions that will help fix the grass root problems. We have believe we can leverage the tools available with the the stack ecosystem to teach these developers how they can use these tools effectively in their development processes.
We will be able to help our trainees use clarity for smart contract development and deployment, help them build simple DApps for simple solutions and also providing support for them through KusuConsult Hub internship program.
In a nutshell we are helping to provide more support to the Stacks ecosystem by training more grass root developers to help provide real blockchain solutions that will solve the day to day problems faced by the people that have need for tech solutions. Our previous stacks advocation can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juRIt3bil8Q
Other developers related content can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCna3Uj2GoM89C5_o5SikjiQ/videos
and more details on our website www.kusuconsult.com
Grant Impact: All our trainees will have an open source github account to show their stack activities from the first day they begin their engagement. They will each have a small DApp to work on as a demonstration of their knowledge and to be presented during a stack hackathon.
Grant Risks: At the moment we don't have any technical need or anything that will limit the delivery of our mile stone. If we eventually have any, we shall communicate the foundation for help.

Hi @steviekusu
We have identified the projects we will be awarding grants as part of Stacks Foundation Grants Program Cohort 18. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your project was not among those selected.
This is no way means that we do not see the value of the work you proposed. We're lucky to have so many talented independent researchers, developers, and community leaders like yourself building on Stacks. Unfortunately, we receive many more proposals than we can actually fund with our limited means, so competition is extremely tough. While we generally support innovation in all forms, we tend to prioritize projects that have the potential to advance and differentiate the broader ecosystem from other blockchains, as well as projects that meet critical needs of the community at the time. These constraints mean that in several instances, several excellent projects may not make it into a cohort.
We very much appreciate the time and effort you've put into this process and encourage you to continue watching this repo and consider submitting a new application if and when you feel your project better aligns with the current priorities of the Grants Program.
If you should have any questions, please let us know in the comment section below.
Best, Will Stacks Foundation Grants Program Manager
