Refactor unit tests from Tape to Jest or Mocha
Jest and Mocha have clearly beaten out Tape as the unit testing framework for the ecosystem.
Tape makes large codebases with complex unit tests needlessly painful for DX:
- Zero support in the tooling ecosystem: editors, test explorers, visualization, reporting, etc.
- Poor Typescript support.
- Poor async/await/Promise support.
- No parallelization support.
