App publishers do not own app meta data

Open friedger opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug As an app publisher, data that I created are not owned or manageable by me

To Reproduce

  1. Go to submission page of app mining
  2. Enter meta data for app
  3. Submit app

See that I don't have access to that data anymore. Although, I can retrieve most apps' meta data through API call

Expected behavior When submitting the app meta data, it is stored on my gaia server or it can be retrieved from a public location.

Additional context For Google Play, there was a similar request and discussion that lead to the creation of https://github.com/onepf/AppDF and https://github.com/onepf/AppDF-tools-editor

The Web manifest could contain a link to the app's description files.

This requires blockstack auth for app.co and that apps are "owned" by a single blockstack id
