Remove Focus Writer from app listings and help with Gaia data retrieval

Open afi64 opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

Hello, I've been using focus writer for months. But yesterday, i tried to open it but couldn't. I've installed the stack wallet just as it instructed. What is the next step? I have many important documents that I didn't save in my computer. So I really hope you can help. I didn't download the app version. I only used the online focus writer. It say that 'missing userdata' https://focuswriter.co/writer/fc19ee67-8299-4a6e-a292-f47b20b4f4a9 https://focuswriter.co/writer/55959449-7fe3-4e02-a20a-abc17d32e0e7 On the forum, it told me to request to remove focus writer via the API

@ryanarndtcm Do we have any instructions handy for users who want to retrieve data directly from Gaia (e.g. via the CLI?)

Nothing in particular - it does not come up all that often, but I have connected people to Jude/Ken around it in the past (was a while ago)

I have also encountered this issue. I have several documents saved on the FocusWriter app which I now can't access. How do I retrieve the information?

EDIT: Scratch that. I was able to retrieve the information using Mercurius.

Note that Mercurius can be found here for this purpose: https://github.com/MichaelFedora/mercurius

However, it is provided by a third-party and does not come with any guarantees by Hiro PBC. Please proceed with utmost caution especially when entering your Secret Key into any web-based interface such as this one. Installing from source, inspecting the code and running locally is generally safer than trusting any hosted instance.
