Insert YAML section with context

Please describe the enhancement

I'd like to be able to insert a YAML section depending on a certain context. e.g. I want to allow for adding scanning steps AFTER a container build in a GitHub Action workflow. These type of advanced editing references would be ideal to get remediations for CI pipelines.

Solution Proposal

I don't have a proposal as of yet. There is a possibility of using jq as an editor, but the logic would end up being very convoluted and difficult to maintain. This feels like a bigger effort that merits a technical design document.
