It generally looks good to me. It would be great if you could explain what kind of extra linker flag was needed on your system.

In general, I have plans to add multithreaded benchmarks too. And supporting pthreads is a pain with a plain makefile, because the exact compiler options differ on different systems. So changing to CMake might be the best choice.
