documentation of when to use SST versus other DES software

Not clear where this would fit in SST documentation, but a comparison with other software would be instructive. Are there reasons a user should turn to SST or use another DES? A user guide could explain what advantages and disadvantages SST offers.

For example, alternatives to compare with would be

• https://simpy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SimPy
• https://systemc.org/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SystemC There are other opensource DES software on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_discrete_event_simulation_software but no others are actively updated. (Also, SST isn't on that list.)

Why a documented comparison matters:

• for new users, sometimes picking a more complicated tool is unnecessary -- simpler DES like SimPy might be appropriate
• as a user of SST, my management wants to know why my team uses SST instead of alternatives.
