Is there a wish for the SSH access?

Hi,

if there is a need I can outline how to gain SSH access to the SysAP.

Steps:

  • solder the 3 pins which are next to the RJ45
  • UART 115200 (TX, RX, GND - from top to bottom, GND can be identified easily)
  • Interrupt U-Boot by CTRL-C
  • Boot into rescue image
  • mount mmc partition 7
  • replace "authorized_keys" file
  • reboot and enable SSH access in web frontend

Hi, great, thanks. I always wondered how to gain access. But I suppose warranty is void if you access the SysAp via SSH. (If they can even detect it). Is there any point of doing this? I mean besides reverse engineering the bus protocol or something like that.

Just for reversing :) Wanted to see where are the (encrypted/mangeled) firmwares for the window contact etc.

To see if it is possible to include there custom HW as well.
