reMID fails to load in Ardour 5.12

When I want to add a MIDI track using reMID in Ardour I get this message in Ardour 5.12 log window:

[WARNING]: Failed to add Synth Plugin to newly created track.

FWIW, I can load reMID in Ardour 5.12 here (LibraZiK), and it works (sounds is going out, and I can choose among the different "soundbanks"). @unfa what remid version are you using? Self compiled or from a repo? What distro?
