RetroPie System Menu is overriden with blank values

When Scrape all systems is chosen an empty file is created at

home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/gamelist.xml

that overrides the default imagery and descriptors for the RetroPie system menu. The names now appear truncated, there are no descriptors, and images are no longer shown.

I request this file not be created.

A note for those in the future that find themselves without a RetroPie "system menu" (the images and descriptors). To repair the gamelist.xml file go to RetroPie Setup sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh reinstall the menu from Manage Packages -> Manage Core Packages -> retropiemenu The menu will reappear on reboot.
