Describe the feature Notary v2 / Notation is available: https://github.com/notaryproject/notation/

Perform a first test and consider how an initial experimental support could look like...

Hi @xopham @pflaeging

I am a Notation project maintainer. Notation recently cut v1.0.0-RC.3 release and will have a stable v1.0.0 release in the mid of April. I would like to know if there is any interest or plan to prioritize this issue and create a guide for https://sse-secure-systems.github.io/connaisseur/v2.6.0/validators/notaryv2/?

@FeynmanZhou thanks for reaching out. We do believe that broad support of signature solutions is important for an admission that has to consume whatever is being used.

We plan to discuss notation integration this week and are generally interested in a timely implementation based on our availabilities. Since SSE only supports Connaisseur as a contribution to the overall community without financial interest, we have to obviously balance work with our other responsibilites.

@FeynmanZhou we hope to integrate notaryv2 soon. Do you have any input on best ways to attempt integration? Python libraries? Minimal working examples?

Thank you. Notation has only Golang library so far. https://github.com/notaryproject/notation-go
